Top 10 Funny Questions Children ask in Sunday School
As a Sunday School Teacher we hear a lot of funny things and get a lot of questions that just make us smile. One time I asked "what did Jesus say to the storm to make it stop?" I wanted the answer "peace be still" but got "please be still" instead. Another time we were talking about the fruit of the spirit and a child made the comment "I don't get the apple." Very confused, thinking he was talking about the name on the apple I asked him to explain more. He said "apple-stolic, ya know!" I couldn't help but giggle because we call ourselves "Apostolics."
Got to love kids!

Fruit of the Spirit
Buy fake fruit and label all of them a fruit of the spirit as followed. Play a hot potato with the fruit. The children have to call out the fruit before they pass it. Start out with a few fruit and add more as you play.
Love-Strawberry (fruit of love)
Joy-Pineapple (think of the happy smell)
Peace-Watermelon (piece of...play on the words)
Longsuffereing (patience)-Lemon (you have to eat it slowly)
Gentleness-Peach (soft)
Goodness-Banana (child's favorite fruit)
Faith-Cherry (two together on the stem)
Meekness (kindness)-Grapes (good to share)
Temperance (self-control)-Apple (Garden of Eden)
Note: If you have a Hobby Lobby near you they get their VBS crafts in around this time. Check it out because they always have things you can use all year round for various stories and subjects.
